Prikhodko Victor Vladimirovich – Director-General of the National Radio Technical Bureau (NRTB), Closed Joint Stock Company.
He was born in Kiev on April 28, 1958.
In 1975, he entered Kiev Higher Engineering Radiotechnical School of Air Defence and graduated from the School Summa Cum Laude in 1980.
In the period from 1980 to 1998 he served in various military units of the Armed Forces of the USSR and Russia. Upon completion of a postgraduate military course at Kiev Higher Engineering Radiotechnical School of Air Defence (Radar Detection Finding and Radioelectronic Warfare Department) he defended Ph.D. thesis in Engineering Science (1989). He was concerned with matters of international judicial protection of frequency allocation to radio electronic facilities. He took part in development and installation of new information management systems.
In the period from 1998 to 1999 he served as a Chief researcher and then as a Head of epartment at VimpelCom.
In 2000, he set up National RadioTechnical Bureau (NRTB), became its head, defined key areas of activity, including provision of electromagnetic compatibility solutions to radio electronic facilities, and built a team of highly knowlegeable specialists.
The system of complex electromagnetic compatibility, developed and implemented by NRTB, was awarded a gold medal of the ZUBR-2006 National security award for ‘High Technologies of General Application In the Interests of National Defense and Security’.
In 2002, he defended a doctoral thesis in System Analysis, Information Management and Processing.
In 2007, the State Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles conferred an academic rank of professor upon him.
He is a full-fledged member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (2009) and a full-fledged member of Leibnitz European Academy of Natural Sciences (2011).
He is a corresponding member (2013) and a full-fledged member (2014) of the Russian Academy of Military Sciences.
He has industry-sponsored awards, honorary Russian and international rewards for inventive activity. He is an author of more than 220 scientific papers, has 5 certificates of authorship and 89 patents for invention.
